Practice Manager

Ziggy Lovegrove manages both the New Zealand and Australian practices of Lovegrove & Cotton Construction and Planning Lawyers. She is admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia but is not admitted to practice in New Zealand so she does not provide construction law advice to those domiciled in New Zealander.

Having lived in both Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand, Ziggy initially migrated from Ethiopia and settled in Auckland with her late mother-in-law before relocating to Australia.

Tsigereda has  been named in the construction section of Global Law Experts 2024 for Australia, a testament to her expertise and professional contributions.

She is secretary of the IBQC Dispute Resolution Committee.

Assistant to Ethiopian Honorary Consul to Victoria.

Liaison Contact for Hope for Children (HIV NGO in Ethiopia): Representing Lovegrove & Cotton in charitable outreach initiatives.

Past Financial Controller:

  • Managed all aspects of financial control, including billing, debtor control, bookkeeping, and payroll.
  • MYOB, LEAP, and tax reconciliations.
  • Preparation of annual financial returns.
  • Tax compliance (payroll tax, staff tax, company tax).

Law Firm Management

Diploma in Management and over 9 years of experience in law firm management.
Human Resources and Culture Management:

Ensuring a harmonious workplace environment.

Upholding best practice HR and safe workplace protocols.

Addressing staff concerns to maintain cohesiveness and morale.

Role with the International Building Quality Centre (IBQC)

Secretary to the IBQC Dispute Resolution Coalition.

Coordination of logistics for the coalition, comprising:

The committee comprises Multinational legal experts, including Queens Counsels, pre-eminent construction lawyers, arbitrators, senior presiding judges, and retired judges.
